Our static rope taster program offers an ideal opportunity to jump into the water from the sofa. Here you practise swimming, paddling and controlled turns in the water while hanging on the static rope and using the resistance of the river. This allows you to improve your technique and stay safe on the surfboard even in more challenging waves.

Of course, you will always be accompanied by two experienced surf coaches who will give you the necessary tips and tricks and ensure your safety. This allows you to concentrate fully on your training and improve your surfing skills. Our program is flexible and adapts to your wishes and abilities.
After a detailed safety briefing, it's off into the river. You will get a first feel for the current and learn how to behave safely in the water. You will realize that getting out of the river is not as difficult as it seems.
Can you manage to control your surfboard? Learn how to control your surfboard so you have a basis for your turns. Once you've got the hang of it, all you need to do is stand up.
Now you can practise standing up and practise your turns on the static rope. In the taster course you stay on the fixed rope (you surf in one place). If you feel ready to surf against the current, you can upgrade to the UP STREAM course.
There are drinks, a beach & other opportunities to relax on site.

Because safety is our top priority: we provide each participant with a Restube system and a helmet. Every surf coach has a first aid course, lifeguard training and training from the Austrian Surfing Association. The UP STREAM SURFING system is constantly maintained and is never left unattended on the bridge. We only operate the UP STREAM SURFING system in safe river conditions.
What you should bring with you: A bath towel and something to drink. We also offer drinks on site. If you have your own surfing equipment, you can also bring it with you. If you are between 16 and 18 years old, you will need a declaration of consent from your parents or an authorized person.

To take part in our surf courses, you must be at least 16 years old and be able to swim.
At the beginning of the course, participants are introduced to the safety concept and then swim a short lap in the river to get a feel for the water.
Participants can then try out the static rope to practise standing up on the board before moving on to the UP STREAM SURFING system.
While one participant surfs, two others sit on the underwater sail. They then rotate and take it in turns to surf against the current.
Important: The consumption of drugs, alcohol and medication is prohibited at UP STREAM SURFING. Physical fitness is an advantage.
Swimwear is best suited. We also recommend socks under the neoprene shoes for hygienic reasons.

You don't need to worry about floating down the river. You can swim out after just a few meters, with or without a board. What's more, if you miss an exit point, there are plenty of other ways to get out of the river.
Nevertheless, we have of course always positioned a coach as a security guard, just in case.
Yes, you must be at least 16 years old to surf on the river. However, if you are 16 or 17, you will need a written declaration of consent from your parents or the person responsible for you.
In general, you should not swim or surf alone in the river. We have developed a safety concept that allows you to surf up the river without any worries. What does this concept consist of?
